El Malcajete was a great find. It was quiet at 6 on a Saturday night and had street parking right out front. The restaurant is small and quite cozy, and the service was friendly and quick. We each got different entrees and the only thing stopping us from clearing out plates was the chips, salsa, guac, and cheese fajitas they passed out beforehand. We'll definitely be going back and hope they get more business - they deserve it!
This place opened about four months ago and tonight we finally stopped in and I couldn’t be more happy that we did! The service was top notch. The complimentary house-made chips and salsa were fresh and fantastic but the guac stole the show! We will definitely be coming here again and ordering from DoorDash!!! Hidden gem for sure ...

Visiting from Florida and someone recommended this place for Mexican food. Had the chimchanga and my brother had carne Asada. The food was fresh and delicious and the service was amazing. Thanks for a great experience.
This place reminds me of El bandido restaurant. The Mexican dishes are VERY authentic so if your taste leans more in favor of stripped down Americanized versions of Mexican food like Chili's or Applebee's then you need to get acquainted with how real Mexican food is made. It is BYOB which is a nice plus for date nights. My favorite dish is combination number 1 with shredded beef in everything. The negative reviews are wildly inaccurate probably derived from customers looking for a more watered down Americanized taste. If you are looking for authentic Mexican food, this is your place.
Enjoyed one of the lunch specials today. Spacious dining room, courteous and prompt servers, excellent food. They were doing a pretty brisk take-out business up front too. Great experience! I wish you much success in your new opening!

Found this place online and wish I had found it sooner! We split the molcajete and it was amazing, everything we could've hoped for. Our waiter was kind to warn us that the "double" option is too much food for 2 people, and based on the size of the regular I know he was right. Everything that came out of the kitchen for other tables looked good. Our server and the hostess were both charming. Look forward to returning.
